about a woman who is waiting to hear from her partner, a soldier away at war. The cycle is structured around shifting emotional 'seasons', and explores the elasticity of time, memory, and experience while one is in a state of not-knowing.
The song cycle was a finalist for the 2021 National Association of Teachers of Singing
Art Song Composition Award.
